Auditons!

I can't believe how close auditions actually are! They are literally a week from today and I am so excited! And I just can't hide it! I'm a real nerd and since my dream would be to be Alice in Wonderland I have been practicing the poem from the movie:
How doth the little crocodile
Improve his shining tail,
And pour the waters of the Nile
On every golden scale!
How cheerfully he seems to grin,
How neatly spreads his claws,
And welcomes little fishes in
With gently smiling jaws!
I know it's sort of silly and I'll probably never be asked to burst out suddenly into an Alice monologue, but I have to say it's fun to practice anyway. I've gotten some tips for auditions from some of my friends who have gone through auditions and made it so far and I figured they were good enough to share. So:
1. Wear bright colors! This is very important because they will be more likely to notice you in a group dance.
2. Be Big! If you feel like you are looking ridiculous you're probably doing it right!
3. SMILE! This is probably the most important thing! Disney is looking for happy smiling people who want to make the magic happen!
4. Talk to people! They are watching you from the minute you walk in that door. How you talk to people, how you carry yourself, if you're shy or outgoing. They are looking at you from the minute you enter the room.
Those are the biggest tips I have but I still am nervous but excited! I've heard the auditions are really fun! My height range for fur is Chipmunk height range which is awesome because who doesn't love Chip and Dale?! Well that's all for now folks! Bye!

New Post Time?

So today I felt was the day for a new post. The subject of this post you ask? But of course character auditions that are fast approaching! I will be trying out for character on March 24th in Austin! I am so excited but nervous as all get out for the chance the try out! The picture of Alice describes my range of emotions in a nutshell...

Now I would also be happy with the job I got offered. I got accepted for Attractions and requested (what else?) but Jungle Cruise and Kilimanjaro Safari! Because who doesn't want to crack jokes all day. I mean did you ever think about why Cinderella was so bad at baseball? Because she had a pumpkin for a coach and she kept running away from the ball!

At character auditions I know that I am not the best dancer in the world, I mean I don't think I can even Move it Like Bernie right. But I have been told that you don't have to be the best dancer in the world you just have to be big! And smile! And wear a bright colored shirt! And yes this was actual advice given to me. So my selection choices for a bright colored shirt is 1. A tennis ball colored shirt form my summer long tour in the CARA tennis program, 2. My neon colored shirt from Watermelon Bust, and 3. One of my many gold shirts that say LSU on them. Decisions decisions. Think think ponder ponder. Well I'm not sure for now, but I will keep you updated on the shirt selection.

So my height range for the audition is 5'2'' Disney height I doubt would move me because I fall right into Chipmunk Height Range! This is really exciting because this height range offers a wide range of options for fur! And for face character my height options would be Alice in Wonderland, Tinkerbell, and Wendy Darling. My absolute dream is to be Alice in Wonder land for Disney, I mean I feel like it could work...
She makes so many people happy and can really connect to the kids. But even if Alice didn't work out I would be overjoyed to have any of the other face characters or even a fur character. I mean if I was a face character I would also be a fur character anyways. But either way, a girl can dream and I can't wait to make a complete fool of myself at the auditions :)

Next post I will be delving into the 30 day photo challenge of Disney! Stay tuned!

And the Adventure Begins!

This is it people! It's the beginning of my blog! Dun dun dun! I decided that it might be a good idea to catalog my trip at Disney so everyone back home, and back in college could keep up with me, know what I'm doing, and generally see that I'm not having too much fun. Because it's Disney, so of course I'll never have too much fun... ;)

I wanted to start off this blog by introducing myself. I'm Mo I'm a Freshman at LSU and I've been accepted for the Fall Advantage Disney College Program for Attractions host, and potentially Character Performer, and I'm sooooooo excited to go! I literally can't contain my excitement it's like i'm bursting with happiness! Especially when I got my coveted purple folder. Kind of like this...
Ok, maybe it's hard to be as excited as Ariel! I'm so excited for this opportunity to have an amazing internship with a company the most amazing company that inspires happiness and magic, Walt Disney! I will have more posts coming up after this pertaining to my character auditions and other info! Thanks for tuning in guys and Have a Magical Day!
